Effective February 13, 2017, St. Hedwig Parish of Erie was merged into St. Stanislaus Parish of Erie. St. Hedwig Church is now a secondary church.
“St. Hedwig Church is to remain open to the faithful at least occasionally for sacred worship, whether public or private (cf. can 1214).” They will be open for baptisms, weddings, and funerals, and for the solemnity of the anniversary of the Church’s dedication and the Church’s feast day. SAINT HEDWIG CURRENT NEWS:
THE FEAST OF ST. HEDWIG is Tuesday, October 16, 2018. To celebrate the feast, a Mass will be offered at St. Hedwig Church on Friday, October 19 at 5:30 PM. An offering will be taken up for the upkeep of the church property. All are welcome to attend. After the Mass, those interested, will meet at the 3rd Street Polish Falcons for dinner on your own.
“A Special Collection of $1,083.00 was received at the Memorial Day Mass at St. Hedwig’s. The money will go to the maintenance of the church building. Breakfast was then enjoyed at the 3rd Street Polish Falcons Nest 610. Hope to see you all next year! Bog Zaplac i Sto lat!”
